Throughout this semester you will be involved with your own
personal learning about this world of ours. We will concentrate on
these areas: the pond ecosystems behind our school, whales, Great Bay,
and energy use. You will also have options to research topics of your
own choosing. You will be
expected to create computer projects around these topics. Our main goal
is
to provide valuable information about environmental concerns to the
world of knowledge. We will do this by publishing electronically with
computers.
You will be allowed
some latitude in how you approach your studies (see specific
requirements below). In order to give you some choice in your specific
area of work while maintaining the requirements that are important to
the study of environmental science, I have listed broad concepts and
terms that are important for you to consider in your studies. Part of
your assessment will be based on how well you come to understand those
terms and concepts.
