The whaleboat, Quest, was launched on June 20, 1997 at Odiorne State Park in Rye, N.H.
Quest
Project Whaleboat is a marriage of nineteenth century boat building craftsmanship and twentieth century computer technology. The project has been a successful attempt at creating a constuctivist model of education that makes use of computer technology as an integral part of student learning.

Hundreds of well-wishers turned out to cheer the culmination of over two years of work by students enrolled in Project Whaleboat. The 28 foot, Beetle style whaleboat was worked on by over 50 different people during its construction. The boat and the educational program that it symbolizes will be a part of Sanborn Regional High School for years to come.
