The internet makes information and images easier to find, reproduce, and utilize.
It also makes copyright infringement easier.
THE BAD NEWS:
Your use isn't necessarily OK even if:
You give credit to the source
You're not making any money off of it
The material was already posted on the internet
It's for purely educational purposes
You didn't know you were doing anything wrong
THE WORSE NEWS:
People who sue for copyright infringement can get downright nasty.
THE GOOD NEWS:
K-12 teachers don't generally get sued (at least so far).
