Sharing the World with Animals

Is it possible for humans and animals to live together on earth without having to control population?

My answer is very doubtful. The reason for my answer is that we are destroying more of the earth and the animals then helping them. I support animals rights, however I have been very frustrated on the depletion of the animal homes. I used to get mad thinking about why people back even one hundred years ago could live with the animals, however now-a-days it seems it has to be either them or us and it shouldn't be that way.

I think that the reason why it worked back then was that the human population was a lot less than it is now. The more human population increases the more forests are cut down to make room for us. The number one reason for animals extinction is the destroying of animal habitat. It is a lot easier to say we shouldn't cut down more trees then really to live it out. This is an issue that doesn't point fingers.

Humans have the right to live and reproduce much like animals have the same right. The only difference is that when humans reproduce they want a bigger house. the more houses we have the more roads, and businesses which move in, this means destroying acres and acres of once flourishing trees, flowers, and animal homes.

I am also against hunting just because the hunter's say " we hunt to control the animal population". Hunter's think that they are doing a good thing by killing animals because they won't become overpopulated and diseased. My disagreement is that we have already done our share of animal control just from the amount of land we destroy so we have more room to grow.

Another thing is that we are too concerned with controlling the animal population when we should be concerned with the human population. Humans are grossly overpopulated and instead of trying to control us we are allowing an overpopulated and diseased habitat. Animals aren't the problem.

How can we solve this problem? No-one Knows. Some people seem to think putting animals in zoos will help the animals, but that is not freedom. Imagine if humans had to be put in caged in areas with animals coming to invade our space by feeding, taking pictures, and petting us. I think we should try to fix the humans first instead of trying to fix the animals because they are not the ones that changed, we are. Humans changed the world and not for the better and now we are taking everything down with us.

We lived together before and we should be able to live together again.
